About the Blog

“Clark Nielsen for the Win” is a personal blog primarily about teaching English overseas. It was originally started to talk about my experiences in China, but I’m no longer a teacher in that country. I am, however, married to a Chinese woman, so I do occasionally make trips back to China. In the past, I had also used the blog to discuss the obstacles we faced in the China/US immigration process. Currently, the two of us are teaching in rural Thailand, so the blog has seen a temporary revival.

As a heads up, I will most likely write a book about Thailand, just like I have written two books about China. The first is a short e-book called A Quick Guide to Teaching English in China while the second, Yes China!, is a longer and funnier collection of memoirs about what led me to China and what I ultimately learned from it. There is some overlap between the blog and the books, but each work is meant to stand alone.
