Biometrics for Immigration

Just a quick update on the immigration process: USCIS received our “adjustment of status” application and scheduled a time for us to come in to get Sarah’s biometrics. That was yesterday. It was a twenty-minute appointment, and all they did was take a couple of fingerprints and photos.

Now it’s back to doing what we do best… waiting. We should be getting another letter (soon?) to schedule an interview time. But if we’re lucky and promise to be on our best behavior, we might not even have to do an interview for Sarah’s green card. It varies, just like the application processing time varies. Wouldn’t it be great if you knew exactly what to expect? Yeah, I think so, too…
