Final Update: The Green Card is Here!
To recap: my Chinese wife and I started the K-1 fiancee visa process on July 9, 2010. She arrived in the US on April 13, 2011. We submitted her green card (or permanent resident permit) application on July 7, 2011. Three months later (today), the green card is finally here, and with no need of an interview!
The wait is over. The paperwork is over. We won’t have to do another thing for two years… when this permit expires and we apply for a new one. Until then… it’s been nice knowing you! If you’ve got any questions about the process, feel free to contact me or leave a comment here.

Please don’t stop posting about you and your wife. It makes for some interesting reads.

I guess that did sound like I was giving up on the blog, which isn’t the case. While I have run out of things to talk about (and have been busy finishing up the game mentioned in the last post), what I really meant was that I wouldn’t be discussing visas and green cards anymore.

Good to know.
I am debating whether or not to start blogging about my relationship. We’re not engaged yet but moving that way. I’m sure between the two of us we could swap some amazing stories.

I would love to hear how the visa process goes for you, but I’ll be honest… blogging isn’t as rewarding as it used to be. Unless you are a girl or write a lot about current events, China-related blogs don’t get much attention.
Oh, and sorry it took me TEN DAYS to reply to this! Getting my game out is really kicking my butt…

Be aware that you’ll need to renew that greencard about ten years in, and that if the USCIS forgets to send you an appointment letter, that’s your problem… you’ll have to restart the process from scratch and pay for the privilege again.
