Longqing Gorge Near Beijing
When you do a lot of traveling somewhere, it’s easy to forget everywhere you’ve been. I haven’t thought about Longqing Gorge for years. I went there in 2005 during my trip to Beijing, and, like every other time I go to a mountain in China, it rained. Seriously, China must have it out for me. So the boat ride through the gorge ended up looking like this:
Gah! Umbrellas! Longqing was actually a pretty area once we got off the boat and hiked around… as far as I can remember. It’s hard to tell from my photos, because most of them are bleached out from the fog. This is the only other one I have that looks nice:
Some day, I will climb a Chinese mountain in good weather…
