The Price of Rice in China

Your retro picture of the week (or day or month or whatever, this really isn’t a recurring feature, I just happened to look through my old photos today) takes place inside a Chinese supermarket:

Picture of a rice bin in a Chinese supermarket

This was one of the first photos I took when I went to China with ILP in 2005. I remember thinking how funny it was that there was a big bin of rice in the middle of the store, because it screams, “I’m in China!” Look! Rice! It’s China!
